Location
office is located about forty-five miles south of San Diego in the ocean front community of LaMision, about halfway between Rosarito and Ensenada. Our company specializes in property located between Rosarito and Enseñada and the property in the Guadalupe Valley wine country. Our office is conveniently located on the main highway at the famous LaFonda Restaurant Hotel and Spa, KM 58 on Mexican highway 1. If you are coming down the toll road, you will see the exit marked LaMision, LaFonda exit there and take a left at the stop sign, we will be on your right (west)
There are many beautiful places along the 1,000 plus mile Baja Peninsula but after looking at most of them, we chose this area for our home and our real estate office. We believe it’s the gem of the Baja.
LaMision is one of many wonderful gated communities along the northern Baja coast. The majority of our neighbors are Americans; many have lived here full time for more than 20 years. Being a one hour drive from the San Diego airport, makes it easy for friends and family to visit..
Weather
Many people describe the climate as “the best on the planet” with nearly perfect temperatures year around. Lots of sunny days, never too hot, too cold or too humid.
Cost of Living
You can enjoy the same weather, ocean and sandy beaches, as our Southern California neighbors 40 miles north, for a fraction of the cost. Homes on beautiful sandy beaches, or homes with magnificent ocean views are incredible bargains compared to Southern California.
Health care, property tax and entertainment are much more affordable here.
You can live better in the Baja!
It is easy to live here.
You don’t have to speak Spanish- Many of my American neighbors who have lived here for many years don’t speak a work of Spanish.
Everyone accepts US dollars and nearly everyone accepts US credit cards.
We have a Vonage phone in our home that allows us to make unlimited toll free calls anywhere in the US. We also have high speed internet, cable TV and nearby modern movie theatres with the same movies you would see in the US, in English!
You can find many familiar American chain stores and restaurants like Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Sam’s Club, Costco, Appleby’s Starbucks, McDonalds etc.,
but you will be missing the true flavor of Mexico if you don’t visit the local Mexican shops and eat in the locally owned and operated restaurants.
It can be fast and easy to cross the border between the US and Mexico.
Americans who live here or visit often can get a SENTRI card, which eliminates long lines at the border crossing. I can tell you how to do it.
Safety
It is a very safe area to visit or to live. There is a lower crime rate here than many parts of the US. You will feel safe walking the beach alone or driving at night.
Owning property in Mexico
You can now own property in Mexico through a type of a trust known as a fideicomiso. You can even get title insurance from American title insurance companies.
What is there to do in Mexico?
